Hi everyone,
We sure have been busy this summer! As most of you know, we had our Kaleidosaurus Kiddie Carnival a few weeks ago and it was a blast! During the Carnival, we introduced two very exciting additions to our museum. First, Herbula Love Bug! Next time you come to the Museum, make sure you look out for the giant bug on the roof! Some of you may recognize the shiny red shell as our old Volkswagen Bug that used to be next to the Diner. Eric Schultz, a local found object artist, was kind enough to design & create Herbula for us. You can read the story of Herbula next time you come to the Museum. Here are a few pictures of the bug during installation.
We also introduced our new mascot, the Kaleidosaurus! That’s his picture right up there ^. Keep your eyes peeled for him because he is all over the Museum. You can even buy your very own Kaleidosaurus to bring home with you!
So many exciting things have been happening around here, and there are even more to come! That being said, we need your help sorting out a few things for next season’s programming. We’re planning a very special theme this October (grab the next newsletter to find out!) and we just need you parents to answer one quick question: What was your favorite toy when you were a child? Please leave your choice in the comment section. Thanks for all your help!
Best,
Christina
